PANKAJ SARMAThe trade centre in MumbaiGuwahati: The Assam government will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Ltd for construction of a 65-storey World Trade Centre here. The NBCC is also constructing a World Trade Centre in Nauroji Nagar area in New Delhi. There are altogether 220 World Trade Centres in the world, of which 23 are in Indian cities such as Gandhinagar, Goa, Kochi, Calcutta, Lucknow, Mumbai, Noida, Patna, Pune and Surat among others. The World Trade Centres Association grants licence for construction of only one centre per city. The centre licence helps in improving branding with World Trade Centre clientele and facilitates marketing of spaces.
