Picture by Bhola PrasadJamshedpur: In its latest passenger-friendly initiative, the Chakradharpur railway division of South Eastern Railway (SER) has made it easier for persons with disabilities to get train ticket concessions. Chakradharpur railway division issued a circular on Monday asking offices of area railway managers (ARM) at Tatanagar, Dongaposi, Jharsuguda and Bandamunda to accept ticket concession applications from persons with disabilities, effective from now. This means passengers won't have to travel to Chakradharpur, some 85km from here, to submit applications for the mandatory photo ID cards for concession. Now, he can approach the ARM office at Tatanagar, which will save time and money."
