Art exhibition showing portraits of eyes at IGNCA


With this message as the main premise, an art exhibition showing portraits of eyes of famous personalities, including Mother Teresa, Rabindranath Tagore started at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA) on Saturday. The six-day long exhibition titled 'Eyes Say It All', was inaugurated by former President Dr Pranab Mukherjee. Artist Dipak Kumar Ghosh has exhibited 60 portraits of popular faces like Swami Vivekananda, APJ Abdul Kalam, Albert Einstein, Sri Ramakrishna, reflecting different phases of life. Ghosh has used charcoal, acrylic and water colours in his creations that have been influenced by people's emotions and expressions. He says that his work focuses on eyes as they convey a certain intimacy, a history that nothing else can hold.
