With the GST coming into force at the stroke of midnight (June 30), the truckers have stopped booking interstate cargo. The current documents which the truck drivers carry like WAY BILL etc have been abolished under the new tax regime. “I hope they will allow trucks to enter the state which have previous tax documents,” a trucker driver told DNA. Moreover, since it was Rajasthan Bandh on Friday, no bookings have been done by truckers, claimed truck operators’ association. The truckers now hope that all this will be removed once the GST is implemented.
