He quoted MGR and late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to appeal to the cadre to talk less and work more. Narrating an Akbar and Birbal fable, Mr. Palaniswami urged the party cadre to control their tongue and use it only to utter only good things. The fable, he stressed, showed how tongue was both the best and worst tool in the world, depending on what one chose to speak. Udhayakumar showered praises on Mr. Palaniswami for organising MGR’s birth centenary celebration as a government function in a grand manner. Almost all the Tamil Nadu Ministers, barring Finance Minister D. Jayakumar, and many MPs and MLAs took part in the function.
