Annapurnabai Ragate, 84, the first woman MLA from Bidar died in Basava Kalyan on Saturday evening. She represented Basava Kalyan in the 1957 and 1962 polls as a Congress nominee. Last rites will be held in Basava Kalyan on Sunday. Family sources said she was admitted to the hospital for a heart ailment on Thursday. She leaves behind three sons and two daughters.
