Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. said on Tuesday it is planning to sell up to P3 billion worth of commercial papers by the first quarter of next year. In a disclosure, Alsons said its board approved last November 13 the issuance of these commercial pap ers, to be issued in one or more tranches. Alcantara Group’s power business said an initial tranche amounting to P2 billion will be issued in March 2021. According to Alsons, full operations of 210-MW coal-fired baseload power plant of Sarangani Energy Corp. (SEC) continued to be the key revenue and income driver for the company. We expect higher revenues and profit margins from the full commercial operations of the Sarangani Energy plant.
