She takes over from Angelina Jolie as the fierce and feisty action hero Lara Croft in the reboot of Tomb Raider. But while she plays a strong female protagonist in the flick, Alicia Vikander admitted she was disappointed by the lack of women in the film as a whole on Monday. However, the Swedish actress added the film was a move in the right direction with such a strong female lead - amid endless accusations of inequality in the industry. She said of the iconic Lara Croft role: 'To have females characters in these kinds of films is definitely a big change.' Alicia is following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie by portraying Lara in the reboot of the hugely successful movie series, set for release on March 16.
