Al Shabaab has finally confirmed the killing of the chief mastermind of the Garissa University College attack , Mohamed Mohamud Ali alias Gamadhere. He is suspected to have organised the terror attack on Garissa University that left 148 people dead. The former commander joined al Shabaab in early 2000 after being motivated by the ideology of the Islamic Courts Union to establish Islamic statehood in Somalia.
