AGRA: The foundation stone for construction of a three-storey barrack for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel protecting the Taj was led on Thursday. The barrack will come up in a portion of 6.47 acre land in karbana at a cost of Rs 5.28 crore, located four Km away from Taj Mahal. It will accommodate 109 personnel (100 men and 9 women) and will have facility of leisure/common room and mess among others. Now, in this financial year the fund has been released again and work has started.CISF took over security of Taj Mahal in 2002 following a Supreme Court order. Shifting to the barracks will give them the much-needed respite and space for training, an official said.
