Share TweetBy Jeffrey DamicogA member of the terrorist organization Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) has been convicted for the 2001 raid at the Island Garden City of Samal in Davao del Norte that resulted in the death of two resort personnel, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday. HasimAlibasaRadjuli alias “Hasseim” was found guilty of murder for the death of Pearl Farm Beach Resort security guard Jimmy Culam. He was likewise found guilty of homicide for the death of resort employee Rolando Jara. He was also directed to pay Jara’s heirs P50,000 as civil indemnity, P30,000 as moral damages, P30,000 as exemplary damages, and P25,000 as temperate damages.
