AQIS men refuse to give voice samples in terror case


The accused who allegedly radicalised youths and propagated terror agenda of Al Qaida, said that no law compelled them to give their voice samples. Mohammed Asif and Mohd Abdul Rehman made the submission in their reply filed before Additional Sessions Judge Reetesh Singh. Advocate M S Khan, appearing for the accused persons, told the court that "there is no provision in law to compel the accused to give voice sample. Special Cell of Delhi Police have charged 17 accused for alleged offences under the provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The FIR in the present case was registered after the arrest of Asif on December 14 last year.
