Devotees planning to immerse their Ganesh will have to watch out for stingrays and jellyfish at the Girgaum, Dadar, Juhu and Aksa beaches. Officials from the fisheries department carried out surveys at these beaches and found the presence of jellyfish and stingrays. “A day before Ganeshotsav began; our survey found a lot of jellyfish as it is their breeding season. “We will be carrying out another survey at Dadar, Juhu and Aksa beaches on Friday morning and submitting our findings with civic body,” said Chougule. “Along with oil sediments along the beach shore, poisonous jellyfish might injure devotees.
