The parties are Awami League, Bangladesh Workers Party, Ganatantri Party, Samyabadi Dal, Jatiya Party (Manju), Communist Kendra, Gana Azadi League, NAP (Mozaffar), Ganatantrik Majdur Party and BaSaD (Reza). Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSoD) and Bangladesh Tarikat Fedaration (BTF), both members of the Awami League-led alliance, also expressed their wish to participate in the national election with the boat symbol. Another letter, signed by BTF Secretary General Sayed Rejaul Haque Chandpury, reads: “The party participated in the last general election under the symbol of a “garland,” in collaboration with the 14-Party Alliance. So, we have agreed to participate in the 11th general election, jointly with the 14-Party Alliance under the ‘boat’ symbol.”
