AG Chambers sets up taskforce, investigate allegations of MACC chief's illicit affair


KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has set up a taskforce to investigate allegations involving Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad. It was reported that there has been allegations, which surfaced online recently, accusing Dzulkifli of having an extramarital affair. Dzulkifli said the allegations were made to tarnish his reputation and to discredit MACC’s efforts in combating corruption. In a statement today, Attorney-General Tan Sri Apandi Ali said he received queries from the public and journalists relating to reports made against Dzulkifli. He added that police are investigating the allegations under Section 498 of the Penal Code.
