PUTRAJAYA: Reporters and photographers gathered at the Attorney-General’s Chambers office here as early as 8am on May 14. They waited to ask Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali to comment on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s announcement asking him to leave. However, the efforts by the mainstream media and news portals were in vain as Apandi was seen leaving the AG’s office through the building's basement car park, instead of the main lobby. He was seen leaving at 5.25pm Monday (May 14) in a black Proton Perdana car. Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced in a press conference Monday that Apandi has been told to take leave, and that his duties will be taken up by the Solicitor-General.
