KUALA LUMPUR: Embattled Attorney-General (AG) Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has been asked to go on leave. In saying this, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad noted that the situation concerning the AG was a bit difficult, believed to be due to the fact that his contract was renewed by the previous government. "We need to follow the law," Dr Mahathir told a press conference today. We still have the Solicitor-General to do the work of an AG," he said. The current Solicitor-General is Datuk Engku Nor Faizah Engku Atek.
