MIRI: Police have arrested an 84-year-old businessman for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in a hotel here on Sept 10. “He surrendered at the district police station after coming to find out that the alleged victim’s mother had lodged a report. Lim said the teen’s mother had lodged a report yesterday after learning that her daughter had stayed in the hotel room with the businessman. However, after (being pressed) by the mother, she revealed that she had gone to the hotel with the suspect,” he added. Lim said the teen was sent to Miri Hospital for a medical checkup to confirm whether she had been raped.
