The oath-taking ceremony will be held around 10:30am in the Oath Room of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, a press release issued on Tuesday stated. The Election Commission published an official gazette, on Sunday, with the names of the 49 elected candidates. According to the gazette: 43 of the elected women MPs are from the ruling Awami League party, four are from Jatiya Party, one is from the Workers Party, and another is independent. Previously, on Saturday, the 49 candidates were elected unopposed; and returning officer Abul Kashem declared them unofficial victors after the deadline for the withdrawal of candidatures expired.
