The accident occurred in Malek Bazar area on the Gopalganj-Pirojpur road in Tungipara upazila around 11am, confirmed Tungipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AFM Nasim. Three among the deceased have been identified as Sanjit Dhar, 40, of Batikamari village in Muksudpur upazila; Krishna Kirtania, 32, of Hog Dumuria village and Akamuddin Molla, 50, of Nilfa village. Both villages of Krishna and Akamuddin are located in Tungipara upazila. OC Nasim said a Dhaka-bound Dola Paribahan bus from Pirojpur's Najirpur, while trying to overtake another vehicle, fell into a roadside ditch killing four people on the spot. Locals, police and members of Fire Service have admitted 14 critically injured patients to Gopalganj 250 bed General Hospital, the OC added.
