Bangladesh Navy observed Independence Day nationwide. Photo : ISPRDHAKA, Mar 26, 2026 (BSS) - The Great Independence and National Day was observed today in all naval areas with due dignity and solemnity, with several Navy ships opened to the public for tours and demonstrations of naval operations. To mark the day, various programs were held across all ships and establishments in the naval areas of Dhaka, Chattogram, and Khulna. Educational institutions run by the Bangladesh Navy, including Navy School and College, Navy Anchorage School and College, and Shishu Niketan, organized essay writing and recitation competitions, discussion sessions, and prize distribution ceremonies for the winners. Maritime Museum, located at Lalkhan Bazar (Lovely Lane) in Chattogram, was also kept open to the public.
