Four thousand Kenyans have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi has said. Appearing before National Assembly Health Committee on Wednesday, Mwangangi said no major side effects have been reported from those who have voluntarily taken the jab. Mwangangi told the committee that Nairobi County had all its ICU beds occupied by 11 pm Tuesday. Mwangangi said the situation points to the emergence of a third wave in the country. The CAS however said the situation was different in the counties which are yet to experience shortages at the intensive care units.
