SUBHASISH CHAUDHURISantipur: Two speeding bikers, one of who was speaking on his cellphone, died in a head-on collision at Santipur in Nadia district on Tuesday morning. Uttam Mandal, 19, a resident of the Dhakapara area of Santipur town, died on the spot, while Uttam Biswas, 29, succumbed to his injuries later. Two other youths - Goutam Biswas and Dilip Dhara - were injured in the accident and admitted to Saktinagar district hospital in Krishnagar. "The youth was speeding and at the same time speaking on his mobile phone. The police launched a crackdown on helmetless bikers and use of mobile phone while driving their bikes.
