Presiding over a function to celebrate the launch of seven publications written by Bharathanatyam guru and dancer Padma Subrahmanyam at Narada Gana Sabha, he said that if India was to become a super power, it will be only because of its culture, he added. Shriram Life Insurance managing director Akhila Srinivasan, who received the first copy of the biography of Padma Subrahmanyam ‘Padma mandala’ by her student Jayashree Rajagopal, announced that the dancer would be presented the lifetime achievement award at the International Women’s Day celebrations at Art of Living on February 23. Dancers Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari and Priyadarsini Govind and Narada Gana Sabha secretary K. Harishankar were present on the occasion.
