Share TweetBy Gabriela BaronThe Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) assured that the 15 Filipino crew members of an oil tanker that exploded in Ulsan, South Korea on Saturday are safe. In a statement, the DFA said the Filipino seafarers were evacuated, together with rest of the crew of the Stolt Groenland, a Cayman Islands-flagged oil tanker. “The Philippine Embassy in Seoul is closely coordinating with the South Korean authorities to ascertain their condition and make sure that they are out of harm’s way,” the agency said. DFA said that two of the nine wounded in a nearby tanker which caught fire due to the explosion were also reported to be Filipinos.
