Four members of one family, including two women, were brutally beaten to death by a group in Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu state on Sunday night, after a row over alcohol. Special teams were formed to arrest the other fugitive suspects. Police have identified the deceased as Senthil Kumar, 46, his mother Pushpavathi, 68, his cousin Mohan Raj, 49, and his cousin Rathinam, 58, from Kalakinaru near Paladam. Their bodies were found near Mohan’s land with several injuries apparently caused by a machete. Upon receiving information about the accident, the security forces moved to the scene and sent the bodies to the government hospital in Baldam for autopsy.
