Carrie Lam ended an extraordinarily lengthy policy address today aimed at diversifying the economy and restoring the city's constitutional order, by expressing renewed hope for Hong Kong's future. She spoke of the advantages of the Greater Bay Area at length to highlight how Hong Kong’s economic and political future is entwined with Bay Area cities, as well as opportunities that exist in the mainland for Hong Kong's 'confused' and 'helpless' youth.
