NINE cities in Metro Manila have seen an increase in the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the past week, a tracker team said on Wednesday. According to the OCTA Research Team, Caloocan, Quezon City, Marikina, Mandaluyong, Makati, Paranaque, Pasay, Navotas and San Juan registered increases from November 17 to November 23. Hospital occupancy in Metro Manila remained below critical levels, except for Makati, which registered a 74 percent hospital capacity. This has made the city the only one in the region to be included in the “high-risk” LGU category by OCTA. Metro Manila’s current reproduction number is at 0.83, up from 0.76 in the previous week but which still remained below 1.
