Nokia's most barebones phone, the 1.3, hasn't been forgotten update-wise, although the long-forgotten promise of Android One phones receiving new major versions of the OS in a timely fashion is still hilarious in hindsight. That's because this Android One device is only now getting updated to Android 11, a version that's almost one year old. The update is going out in stages, and the first stage includes all of the units that were sold in Australia. The next wave includes all the other countries and territories where the Nokia 1.3 was available, but HMD Global isn't saying just when to expect that next wave to hit. Over in Australia, it's going to be a quick one, by tomorrow - July 24 - the rollout should be 100% complete.

The latest rumor pertaining to the iPhone 13 series is regarding the phones’ charging speeds. A report from MyDrivers cites “foreign media” who apparently learned through supply chain partners that Apple might be increasing the battery charging speeds of some iPhone 13 models to a peak current of 25W. Apple’s iPhone 12 lineup supports maximum charging current of 20W and even is Apple does increase the charge capacity to 25W, the charge time may not improve drastically. Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max with its included charging cableA new charger means that users with a next-gen iPhone wanting to take advantage of higher charging speeds will have to buy a new charger since Apple no longer includes a charging adapter in the box. On the note of charging speeds, previous reports suggest that the iPhone 13 may also feature faster wireless charging, which currently maxes out at 15W using a MagSafe charger.

Biogen is once again under fire for its controversial new Alzheimer's drug Aduhelm, but this time because of an ad campaign. The online quiz published by Biogen and Eisai, a Japanese company which is co-promoting the drug, asks questions regarding a person's cognitive health. Doctors at the hospital will be able to prescribe Aduhelm to patients, but they will have to go elsewhere to receive the drug. It was previously recommended to all Alzheimer's patients. A survey of neurologists by Spherix Global Insights found that neurologists only believe the drug is adequate for use in one-in-seven Alzheimer's patients.

2021 Jul 23As most children are taught, there are certain human rights you are entitled to when you’re born. At the international level, the widely-invoked 1948 United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights meant that certain human rights would be defined and enacted by written laws and rules, and declared by a sovereign body. Put simply, inalienable rights are inherent to your dignity as a human being. Educating yourself on your inalienable rights, which are the entitlements of being human, can be an incredibly empowering process. It is important to remember that while your inalienable rights can be denied and violated, they can never be taken away.

Sri Lankan cricket great Sidath Wettimuny insists that a new constitution is the only way to bring about the much-required revival of Sri Lanka Cricket. The former SLC administrator pointed out that the country’s club cricket system as well as the archaic cricket board voting system, which lasted over the past two decades, are the reasons for the current plight in the sport. Wettimuny pointed out that anyone who wishes to be an elected member of the cricket board under the current system have to pander to the requirements of the clubs, and that there are clubs that do not play cricket but are entitled to two votes each. Speaking further, Wettimuny underscored that the intervention of the Sports Minister is imperative in order for the required changes in the sport to see the light of day. He explained that the minister has the power to make the necessary calls to make these changes as Sri Lanka’s cricket is under the purview of the Sports Ministry.
