Why isn’t M’Bala Nzola scoring?
The Viola reacted this summer by offloading the latter pair and buying M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltrán. For now, though, I’d like to focus on Nzola, because it’s very strange that he’s struggled as much as he has. Under duress from the International Cricket Board (ICC) and Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI), PCB is stealing away freedom of expression from popular cricket stars. Instead of protecting the cricketers, the PCB is indulged in dealings that take it off course in controlling illegal betting. For the cricketers who wish to play good cricket and uphold principles, this is a morale-breaking reality. Pakistan cricket needs good performance as much as it needs ethical ownership of the sport.

Rupee sheds 89 paisas against dollar
ISLAMABAD - Pakistani rupee on Monday witnessed 89-paisa devaluation against US dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 285.28 against the previous day’s closing at Rs 284.31. However, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 285 and Rs 287.5 respectively. The price of the Euro increased by Rs 4.51 to close at Rs 306.59 against the last day’s closing of Rs 302.08, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen increased by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 1.90; whereas an increase of Rs 7.01 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which traded at Rs 353.64 as compared to the last closing of Rs 346.63. The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal increased by 27 and 26 paisas to close at Rs 77.67 and Rs 75.04 respectively.

Man dies in Pinson area fire
From Tribune staff reportsPINSON — One man is dead following a mobile home fire in the 6700 block of Womack Road just outside the Pinson city limits, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies along with personnel from both Palmerdale and Glennwood Fire Departments were dispatched to the 6700 block of Womack Road in Northeastern Jefferson County on reports of a house fire. It was also reported that an elderly male may have been inside the home,” Lt. Joni Money of the JCSO said. “During the initial investigation, the body of one victim was located inside the home,” Money said. The State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office are working in conjunction with Jefferson County Sheriff’s detectives to complete the investigation.

Ulema, Mushayekh express solidarity with Pak forces
