A spokesperson for the university said here on Monday that GCUF offered admission to various BS degree programmes (4 years), BS degree programmes (5 years), BEd (1.5 year), BS (Bridging), MS/MPhil degree programmes (2 years), associate degree programmes (2 years) and PhD degree programmes. The eligible candidates should apply online at university website http://gcuf.edu.pk/admission till January 4. Islamabad: The Election Commission has released the details of approval and rejection of papers in connection with general elections. According to the Election Commission, 7,473 candidates submitted their nomination papers for the National Assembly, out of which the papers of 1,024 candidates were rejected, while the nomination papers of 6,449 candidates were declared valid, including the papers of 1,094 men and 355 women. Details released by the Election CommissionAccording to the Election Commission, 7,20 men and 445 women submitted papers for the National Assembly, out of which 934 men and 90 women were rejected. According to the Election Commission, 18 thousand 478 candidates submitted papers for the four provincial assemblies, including 17 thousand 670 men and 808 women. And 135 women’s papers were rejected while 16 thousand 262 papers were approved for the four provincial assemblies, in which 15 thousand 590 men’s and 671 women’s papers were approved.

The First Information Report (FIR) was filed under Section 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Section 25-D of the Telegraph Act against alleged members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) based on a complaint by Prof. Dr. Hassan Ul Amin. In his complaint, the NDU professor stated that he has been receiving threats from the banned militant group TTP via WhatsApp messages and letters for an extended period. Additionally, he reported that unknown motorcyclists have been harassing and terrorizing his daughter, a student at Quaid e Azam International University, Islamabad. The applicant informed the police that he previously faced life threats from the TTP when he organized multiple training camps for seminary teachers. Expressing concern for his safety, Dr Hassan Ul Amin urged the police to take action by registering a case against the militants from the banned outfit and apprehending them.

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani hackers have hacked the website of the Indian Gazette and displayed the movie name Dhai Chaal, a recently released thriller based on real life events, whereas the Indian flag was also replaced with Pakistan’s flag bearing an eagle on it. According to an X (formerly Twitter) user, SOURCE (@SourceOSINT) who claimed the development on his handle revealed that the official website of Indian Gazette was hacked. He wrote in his post, “I speak The website of The Gazette of Indian Hacked with the message Dhai Chaal Na Waqt Ho Gaya Hai. http://egazette.nic.in” He also mentioned the official website of the Indian Gazette for the X users and masses at large to verify the claim while sharing a screenshot of the website showing the messages of hackers written on it. Dhai Chaal (Knight’s Move), a well-conceived and aptly designed film project by Faisal Production is revolving around an Indian spy, Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was arrested by the law enforcement agencies of Pakistan on March 3, 2016.

Plans have been drawn up to cut off electricity and telephone connections of unregistered taxpayers to bring more people into the tax net as per International Monetary Fund (IMF) terms. 96 thousand 590 unregistered persons were issued connots. According to the spokesperson of FBR, the first phase of these notices has been issued. In the second phase, there is a plan to disconnect the telephone connections of unregistered large taxpayers. Notices have been issued to these persons under the Income Tax General Order.

The weapons left by US forces in Afghanistan are now being utilised by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in cross-border terrorist activities against Pakistan. The attack on Zhob Garrison on July 12, 2023, also involved the use of American weapons by the TTP. On Sept 6, 2023, TTP terrorists armed with the latest American weapons attacked two army checkpoints in Chitral. On Dec 13, customs and security forces recovered modern American weapons from onion sacks in a vehicle coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan. The Eurasian Times also claimed that US-made weapons were used by TTP terrorists in their terror acts on Pakistani soil.

From Tribune staff reportsLAUDERDALE COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, has claimed the life of a Florence woman, according to Sergeant Jeremy J. Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. “Regina L. Jones, 62, was fatally injured when the 2006 Ford Expedition, she was a passenger in, left the roadway and struck a ditch before becoming submerged in a large body of water,” Burkett said. The driver of the Expedition, a 57-year-old male, also of Florence, was injured and transported to North Alabama Medical Center, in Florence for treatment. The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 65 near Lauderdale County 63, approximately two miles north of Killen, in Lauderdale County. No further information is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar censured on Sunday Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari over contesting general elections from NA-127, Lahore. Addressing the workers convention in Lahore, Tarar said that PPP did not complete any significant project in Karachi that Bilawal made his way to Lahore for general elections. “Lahore is the stronghold of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
