Interestingly, Tata’s Punch SUV is one of the best-selling vehicles in the country and has regularly been in the list of top 10-selling cars. The Punch SUV, launched in October 2021, took 10 months to reach its one lakh production milestone. By the end of May, it had reached the two lakh production milestone. Truckers, TTP disagree over electronic call-up platform
Meanwhile, TTP had said that the call for the scrapping of the electronic call-up system code-named, Eto, represented personal views and not those of the agents. In a recent statement, the Corporate Communications Manager of TTP, Nancy Nnamdi, said that the information in the reports was inaccurate. The management of the NPA had in February 2021 introduced the electronic call-up system for trucks at the ports in Lagos to end the gridlock witnessed on the road. The e-call-up system was launched alongside an app called Eto, through which truckers book turns to enter the port. Some truckers had reported that the platform had failed to address the congestion along port access roads.

Abducted Nasarawa NSCDC personnel, others regain freedom
The two armed personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps who were kidnapped alongside the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Safiyanu Andaha, have regained their freedom. The state NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Jerry Victor, confirmed their release exclusively to The PUNCH on Wednesday in Lafia. According to him, the two NSCDC personnel were traveling with the Akwanga LG chairman when they were barricaded by the gunmen who confronted them in their numbers and whisked them away.
