The lack of transparency suggest infighting and politicking is overshadowing emphasis on the more important issues of testing and contact tracing. Last month, Broh left out Dr. Fallah from the revised COVID-19 National Response team. In a statement signed by the Communications Consultant of the Health Ministry, Mr. Sorbor George, the Helath Ministry clarified that there is absolutely no change to the IMS structure. The infighting, accountability and transparency issues appear to be stalling Liberia’s quest to beat the virus. As Liberia continues to struggle in its quest to battle COVID-19, some stakeholders are growing increasingly concerned that the infighting could affect Liberia’s ability to fight the pandemic.

But her colleague and fellow Bassonian, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon of Montserrado County, believes otherwise. But Senator Dillon needs not look any further for the evidence he is desperately seeking. Elected leaders, like Senator Darius Dillon and others, feel unaccountable in words, actions and their deeds. Strangely but not surprisingly, Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, who believes in transparency, accountability and is severely jittery anti-corrupt, has not added his voice to the many who are yearning for an insight into the NOCAL’s mystery, since his ascendancy to the Senate. But Senator Dillon and others, under the banner of the Council of Patriots, would go on to stage numerous protests calling for transparency, accountability and open governance.

Mr George Weah is arrogantly flaunting and bastardising health laws and protocols right in the faces of health authorities and the unsuspecting Liberian public. Hence, it is epidemiologically sound and morally exigent that Weah is tested to lay to rest rising public scepticism and fear. This is exactly what the health protocols dictate, I am not the one saying it. Or is Weah and his bunch suggesting that the health protocols and regiments set in place are only meant for the ordinary Liberian people? Mr. Weah must leave the street and muster the temerity to proceed at the NPHIL Laboratory to be tested.
