A blood clot in the lungs caused the death of Umoja gym trainer Alphy Migasha, an autopsy has revealed. He had visited the hospital to treat a fractured leg sustained in the assault by a known suspect. Chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor conducted the postmortem at the City Mortuary and confirmed that the blood clot caused the death. “The blood clot travelled to the lung, causing death. He was placed on medication while the family reported the incident to Buruburu Police Station.

Grief engulfed Gem Sori Kachiena location in Rangwe subcounty after a 61-year-old man was killed over a land dispute. The deceased, identified as Joseph Owuoth, was killed following a dispute with a head teacher of a comprehensive school in the area. According to Gem Central location chief Peter Oula, the incident occurred when Owuoth found that the head teacher had ploughed the disputed land and destroyed his maize that was due for harvesting. However, after a few hours, the head teacher mobilised his brother, who is also a teacher, and attacked Owuoth and his wife. The administrator said Owuoth sustained multiple fractures and injuries to the head, while his wife also sustained panga cuts and blunt object injuries on various parts of the body.

WARWICK, RI — A Warwick man was sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing cocaine mailed to his home. Manuel Jose Miranda, 37, had pleaded guilty in July to a charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Postal Inspectors intercepted a package addressed to Miranda’s residence that contained two kilograms of cocaine, according to the release. The package was resealed and delivered to Manuel's residence by an undercover postal inspector and kept under surveillance, the release said.
