The rank of Commander is the third highest class of the most prestigious order of merit in Senegal, awarded for exceptional civil or military services to the nation. Following their dramatic 1–0 win over host nation Morocco in the 2025 AFCON final, the players were given a heroes’ welcome upon their return to the country. The celebrations continued on Tuesday, January 20, with the two-time African champions parading the AFCON trophy through the streets of Dakar.

Yilo Krobo Royal Family rejects destoolment claims, notifies Eastern Regional House of Chiefs

'The court cannot act on assertions without proof' - US Judge on Ken Ofori-Atta’s extradition request

Wontumi takes responsibility for comments, calls on Kennedy Agyapong to apologise to Bawumia
In a statement released to the media, Chairman Wontumi appealed to the former Assin Central MP and NPP presidential aspirant to apologise to Dr Bawumia for what he described as unwarranted and castigatory attacks against him.
