The outbreak of the bird flu comes days after poultry farmers complained about the unavailability of maize, soya, and wheat. Mr. Ampem noted that poultry farmers are going through a tough time now because of these two major challenges. It is a not pleasant time for poultry farmers.”The President of the Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association has said government should pay critical attention to the poultry industry to save over 1,000 businesses from collapsing. Announcing this at a press conference in Accra on Sunday, July 18, 2021, Director-General of NDPC, Dr Kodjo Esseim Mensah-Abrampa said the model serves as a blueprint to assist the country in economic forecasting, policy analysis and choices. He said the model would help the country to collect the right information of the economy to right the wrong associated with policy directives due to lack of information adding that it can be used to assess the economic impacts of eventualities such as the coronavirus pandemic to inform measures if adopted would put the economy back on track. Further, he said the model would be used to forecast the economic out-turns of the policies of the government to inform their [policies] reform and also promote the judicious use of the nation’s scarce resources.

The video, which has been established to have been captured during the commissioning of the Ghana National Mosque at Kanda on Friday, July 16, 2021, has the president, spotting his trademark suit and tie, attempting to cut the tape to open what is now the largest mosque in West Africa. The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is seen turning to the tape in front of him, with a scissors in hands, and prepares to cut through it. That was how many times the president tried to cut the tape although his left hand was firmly holding one side of the tape, in order to make it easy for him to cut through it. The 18 seconds-long video was seen on social media and has since been receiving a lot of varied reactions. But, the most predominant question has been, "Was there something peculiarly wrong with the president's sight?"
