He also called on faith based organisations and corporate organizations to lead the crusade for voluntary blood donation to save lives; “we need people to volunteer by walking to the various blood donation centers, blood banks and health centers to donate". Mr. Danso called for attitudinal change towards blood donation and appealed to individuals, groups, corporate institutions, media houses and all organizations to help support the National Blood Service through voluntary blood donation.

Malik Jabir has questioned why the club will be doing business in the transfer window when they are yet to communicate to their fans about the future of coach Mariano Barreto and his assistants. Coach Malik Jabir’s comment comes on the back of reports that Asante Kotoko has agreed to a deal with Medeama SC to sign midfielder Richard Boadu and are still negotiating with other clubs for potential transfers. “The coach and his assistants are not around so who is recruiting players for Kotoko, it’s not a job for the C.E.O or any of the management members.”“Any newly appointed coach for Kotoko will be blamed if he fails at the end of next season. According to the worried residents, the incessant insecurity and robbery attacks in the town make them live in fear and panic. Tontokrom has been known as one of the flagship towns in the region where violence and robbery attacks usually occur. The most recent ones are the robbery attacks on traders who were plying the Tontokrom-Datano road. The worried residents have pleaded with the authorities to immediately come to their aid by helping to complete the abandoned Police project. Those worst hit are rice farmers at Aframso and other surrounding communities, a major rice hub in the region as an estimated 200 acres of rice farm at two irrigation sites, SCIMP and ALPHA Limited have all been submerged. The rainfall destroyed the boundaries of the irrigation sites and swept over the farms submerging them in the process. “Rice farmers in Aframso and Ntomamum are counting our losses as we have been badly affected following a heavy downpour. Our rice farms have been submerged and we have lost everything. In the interim, we want them to fix the irrigation sites for us”.

Earlier this week, NADMO issued a press release warning residents living along the white volta river to move to higher grounds ahead of the spillage of the Bagre Dam. Hon Yusuf, however, re-echoed the residents plead to the authorities to come to their assistance by supporting them financially to move to the higher grounds. Meanwhile, the District NADMO Director of Kumbungu, Abubakari Alhaji Ibrahim, whilst speaking to GhanaWeb urged the people to move away from the river for their own sake.
