The incident which happened at Mafi Dove in the Central Tongu District is reported to have involved the beheading of the boy by one Dovi Tsidi, graphic.com.gh has reported. The suspect, Flora Ekpe, was arrested after Dovi Tsidi, 26, the main suspect in the case, alleged that he was sent by her to bring a human head for ritual purposes. The report added that both suspects are currently assisting with investigations while in custody at the Sogakofe Divisional Police Command. Other details of the case say that the deceased was allegedly beheaded by his relative, Dovi Tsidi at Mafi Aflokofe at 9:00 pm on Sunday. He explained that it was after this that the suspect went into hiding with the self-acclaimed prophetess at a prayer camp.

Domeabra D/A Basic School was established in 1986 by the community folks and since its establishment, successive governments have failed to put up a decent classroom block for the community. During a visit to the school by GhanaWeb's Western Regional Correspondent, it was observed that the wooden and muddy school building does not have doors and windows. The headmaster told GhanaWeb that trained teachers have been refusing postings to the school due to the lack of electricity in the area and also the poor nature of the building. "From KG to primary 6, only three teachers including myself as a headmaster are teaching here. We also want School Feeding Programme, our furniture is not enough, we need some", he concluded.

The call comes after Governor of the Central Bank, Dr Ernest Addison revealed that the overall profitability of the rural banking sectors has remained positive as at the end of June 30, 2021. Making the disclosure in a speech at the 40th-anniversary celebration of the Akuapem Rural Bank, the central bank governor said advances, deposits and investments in the rural banking sector also increased by 23.6, 31.2 and 50.1 percent, respectively. “It is our expectation that all rural and community banks will fully comply with the minimum capitalisation requirement of GH¢1million by the end of 2021 and maintain the increased capital unimpaired,” the governor urged. "The increased number of rural banks has been accompanied by increased customer reach, technology deployment, as well as improved delivery of financial services within the local communities," he concluded.
