All efforts by this reporter to speak to the office of the Bono Regional Minister on the matter at the time of filing this report were unsuccessful. “Democracy is a process where gradually you build your institutions, gradually you make changes suiting your socio-historical and cultural specificities. Our socio-economic, socio-cultural, the historical trajectory we’ve taken is that we are changing our democracy gradually,” he said. “People believe that when you have the ballot box; you elect your leaders, you change them frequently, voila, democracy. “So, indeed, the ballot does not stop the bullet, that’s one of my principled things I’m leaving with you today. The comment by Mr Ablakwa comes after the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, at a press briefing, disclosed that the government of Ghana was initiating measures to acquire a new presidential jet. “President Akufo-Addo has initiated steps to purchase a new bigger presidential jet, that is according to his spokesperson. It appears abandoning Ghana’s presidential jet for obscene luxury charters was to lay the foundation for this big announcement. “Ghana’s current presidential jet is therefore barely 11 years old. Remember our presidential jet is a 17-seater very much within the same capacity range of the President’s newly acquired taste for ultra-luxury monsters,” Mr Ablakwa stated.

The committee in their report said that, based on testimonies from multiple witnesses it is convinced that Kaaka’s death was caused by family feud. “We, accordingly, find that the death of “Kaaka” was not directly linked to his social media activism. This is also supported by the testimony of Aminu Mohammed, a resident of Ejura and a friend of the late Kaaka”, portions of the report read. This conclusion by the committee has been rejected by the family of Macho Kaaka who holds that the report is riddled with contradictions. A brother of Macho Kaaka told Citi FM that the family has existed peacefully and that there was no rancour between them.
