British Prime Minister Keir Starmer touched down in Beijing with a business delegation on Wednesday for a three-day visit. Starmer is seeking to strengthen political and business ties between the UK and China, as relations between the US and its allies become increasingly strained under Donald Trump. “It doesn’t make sense to stick our head in the ground and bury it in the sand when it comes to China: It’s in our interests to engage,” Starmer told reporters on the flight to China. “I have long been clear that the UK and China need a long-term, consistent and comprehensive strategic partnership,” he said. “I’m a pragmatist, a British pragmatist applying common sense,” said Starmer, the first prime minister to visit China since Theresa May in 2018.

We did not work based on whether someone was Awami League or BNP.”Explaining whether the absence of Awami League from the Consensus Commission made the dialogue less democratic, Ali Riaz said there was no practical way to involve the party. “The command Awami League had over bureaucrats does not exist for the interim government. Referring to the July movement, Ali Riaz said it was not a ‘revolution’ but an ‘uprising’.

The EC said both the RPO and the Referendum Ordinance prohibit using state authority, official position, or public resources to sway voters’ decisions. The EC said it will maintain strict oversight of government officials’ conduct in the run-up to polling day, particularly as the parliamentary election and referendum are being held simultaneously. “Referendum outcomes must reflect the will of the people, not the influence of the state,” an EC official said. The commission has instructed returning officers and field-level election officials to report any violations of the code of conduct involving government employees. His slump is clear from the start, and throughout the film, he takes steps to engage more with his life by touching the lives of others. One of my favorite movies, which I rewatch when I have this problem, is The Last Showgirl, starring Pamela Anderson in her grand return to serious acting. Most of these films are hardly inspiring, which I feel is important for getting me out of a slump. To me, the importance of finding motivation lies in the security you can have with yourself, something these movies do brilliantly. You can’t dig yourself out of a slump until you’re able to understand who you are and what you truly want.
