HBSO celebrates great composers from Romantic era

A new survey by MoneySmart finds that 46% of Hong Kong and Singaporean adults are actively trying to go against their parents' bad financial habits. The new study looked at how parents’ behaviours shape financial habits in later life, finding that those whose parents tended to overspend, shop impulsively or struggle with debt, were likely to do the same as adults. Student exchange is key to digital workforce global capability
In 2023, 50 PTIT students joined student and intern exchange programs and competed at international contests. Việt Nam a top destination for Indian tourists: Indian publication
NEW DELHI – Outbound travel from India has seen a significant spike, with Việt Nam emerging as a favoured international destination, according to Mint, a New Delhi-based business publication. A report from Mastercard’s Economics Institute, entitled Travel Trends 2024: Breaking Boundaries, said Indian outbound travel to Việt Nam during January-March skyrocketed by 248 per cent against the same time in 2019, followed by the US and Japan. Despite the strengthening of the US$, the outbound Indian travel segment has flourished due to an expanding affluent consumer base seeking luxury experiences. While a strong dollar may have diverted tourists away from the US, Indian passenger arrivals surged by 59 per cent compared to the 2019 level. Việt Nam, which recently added direct flights, saw a 2.5-fold increase in Indian travel.

Proposal to amend personal income tax law set for October next year
HÀ NỘI — The Personal Income Tax Law will be revised in 2025, following the proposed timeline submitted to the Government and reported to the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee. Minister of Finance Hồ Đức Phớc said that the ministry was currently conducting a review and assessment of tax laws, including the Personal Income Tax Law. Under the existing provisions of the Personal Income Tax Law, individuals are obligated to pay personal income tax on earnings from salaries and wages. 954/2020/UBTVQH14, which adjusted the family circumstance deductions for personal income tax (effective from the 2020 tax year). Economists emphasise the significant role of implementing personal income tax policies in redistributing resources according to the different stages of economic and social development.

VN poised to have 60MW data center to serve both domestic and foreign markets
The data center will be connected with STT VNG Ho Chi Minh City 1 (the new name of VNG Data Center) via diverse network infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for the connection and expansion of services. After successfully developing the first data center, they will think about building a new center if market conditions are favorable. VNG needs to find partners to build large data centers to serve domestic demand and provide services globally. Asked about solutions to develop the data center market, Minh said this is beyond the capability of one company.
