On the occasion, the Government leader reiterated the invitation to Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Vietnam. The PM thanked the Saudi Arabian side for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese nationals to live and study in the country, particularly when COVID-19 broke out. He believed that Saudi Arabia and Vietnam hold huge potential to further promote cooperation across various fields, notably trade and investment. People joining social insurance up 1.14 percent in two monthsThe number of people participating in compulsory social insurance and unemployment insurance in the first two months of 2022 recorded year-on-year increases of 1.14 percent and 1.02 percent, respectively, according to Vietnam Social Security (VSS). The signing of the MoU aims to specify the scope of cooperation in health insurance, facilitating frequent exchanges between the VSS and US partners towards the sustainable development of the health insurance system in Vietnam. Under the agreement, the sides will bolster cooperation in health insurance, particularly in the development of sustainable universal health insurance coverage; assessing the quality of medical equipment and services covered by health insurance; and health insurance payment verification. In 2021, Vietnam did not exceed the tariff quota of 80,000 tonnes in which the import duty will be zero under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement ( EVFTA ), amid a rising demand for the grain in Europe.The Ministry of Industry and Trade predicts that the export of rice, coffee, cashew nuts, rubber and vegetables will greatly contribute to the total farm export revenues to the EU this year.Meanwhile, the export value of Vietnamese coffee in January-February surged 35.6 percent per tonne against the same period last year.Ample room remains for Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports to the US, as shipments from the Southeast Asian country currently account for about 2 percent of the US’s imports.
