They even said that in the next one or two weeks, rice export market will be busier. Experts said Vietnam's rice exports this year will continue to better exploit the advantages from the EVFTA to boost shipments to the European market. The EU currently accounts for only a small share of Vietnam's total rice exports with 1 percent in volume and 1.3 percent in turnover./.

Vietnam willing to create favourable conditions for Saudi Arabian investors
On the occasion, the Government leader reiterated the invitation to Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Vietnam. The PM thanked the Saudi Arabian side for creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese nationals to live and study in the country, particularly when COVID-19 broke out. He believed that Saudi Arabia and Vietnam hold huge potential to further promote cooperation across various fields, notably trade and investment. The Saudi Arabian minister agreed with PM Chinh’s proposals, viewing them as a roadmap to foster bilateral relations. Saudi Arabian agencies and businesses will work closely with the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry to boost the efficiency of the bilateral cooperation, particularly in economy, he affirmed./.

Lao newspaper highlights special solidarity with Vietnam
The Pasaxon newspaper , the official mouthpiece of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, on March 16 front-paged an article highlighting the unique relationship between Vietnam and Laos The article was published on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties (September 5) and 45 years of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18).It recalled the past struggles for national liberation of Vietnamese and Lao peoples, during which they stood shoulder to shoulder and regarded each other’s revolutionary cause as their own.The article quoted late President Ho Chi Minh as saying “helping our friends means helping ourselves” and stressed that the special friendship and special solidarity have been promoted at all levels, becoming a unique relationship in the world. China, Laos, Cambodia vow to work closely with Vietnam at UN

People joining social insurance up 1.14 percent in two monthsThe number of people participating in compulsory social insurance and unemployment insurance in the first two months of 2022 recorded year-on-year increases of 1.14 percent and 1.02 percent, respectively, according to Vietnam Social Security (VSS). The signing of the MoU aims to specify the scope of cooperation in health insurance, facilitating frequent exchanges between the VSS and US partners towards the sustainable development of the health insurance system in Vietnam. Under the agreement, the sides will bolster cooperation in health insurance, particularly in the development of sustainable universal health insurance coverage; assessing the quality of medical equipment and services covered by health insurance; and health insurance payment verification. Therefore, the Vietnam Social Security proposed the Ministry of Health to handle the arising obstacles.

Chances for Vietnam farm produce to strengthen position in global market: insiders

In 2021, Vietnam did not exceed the tariff quota of 80,000 tonnes in which the import duty will be zero under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement ( EVFTA ), amid a rising demand for the grain in Europe.The Ministry of Industry and Trade predicts that the export of rice, coffee, cashew nuts, rubber and vegetables will greatly contribute to the total farm export revenues to the EU this year.Meanwhile, the export value of Vietnamese coffee in January-February surged 35.6 percent per tonne against the same period last year.Ample room remains for Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports to the US, as shipments from the Southeast Asian country currently account for about 2 percent of the US’s imports.
