The High Court of England and Wales warned lawyers on Friday that they could face criminal prosecution for presenting false material generated by artificial intelligence, after a series of cases cited made-up quotes and rulings that did not exist. The ruling by Victoria Sharp, president of the King’s Bench Division of the High Court, and a second judge, Jeremy Johnson, detailed two recent cases in which fake material was used in written legal arguments that were presented in court. In one case, a claimant and his lawyer admitted that A.I. tools had generated “inaccurate and fictitious” material in a lawsuit against two banks that was dismissed last month. In the other case, which ended in April, a lawyer for a man suing his local council said she could not explain where a series of nonexistent cases in the arguments had come from.

India A vs England Lions highlights, 2nd Unofficial Test: KL Rahul found form and valuable match practice ahead of the five-Test series against England, crafting a composed century for India A against a strong England Lions attack featuring seasoned pacer Chris Woakes. He was well supported by Dhruv Jurel, who continued his impressive run with a well-made 52 off 87 balls — his third consecutive half-century. The England Lions attack, led by Woakes (3/50 in 17 overs), posed a stiff challenge in seam-friendly conditions early on. The manner in which Rahul handled Woakes' early burst was textbook — playing late, under his eyes, and showing full control on square and cover drives. Easwaran, captaining India A once again, has struggled in first innings across India A’s tours of Australia and England.

Great artists take the pulse of their times and Walter Trout holds a mirror up to society’s anger and angst on Sign Of The Times, which will be released on 5th September via Provogue. Sign Of The Times just became the obvious title.”The album explodes to life with the first single and opening song, ‘Artificial’: a scornful, satirical, harmonica-spiced rebuke of the fake world we risk creating. “We got artificial photos, artificial music, you could go on and on,” considered the bluesman. Dissonance is a sign of the times. As a lifelong road warrior, Trout will be taking the Sign Of The Times material to global audiences throughout 2025.

Down the hall, a separate hearing involved an alleged plot to inflict “serious violence” on Iranian journalists working in Britain. These disparate cases underscore how Britain has become the locale for a web of foreign espionage operations. The adviser, Jonathan Hall, cannot discuss active criminal cases because of England’s strict reporting laws. “Terrorism is something that gets public attention,” Mr. Hall said, partly because of the “death and destruction and mayhem” caused by attacks. State threats, he said, were “much harder to conceptualize” for the public.
