(Photo © ReenP)"You Go To My Head" is Kornsarin's first virtual exhibition, so it is quite different from her previous displays at physical galleries. "Not many Thai artists create virtual exhibitions, so I had to figure out on my own how to work on it. However, a virtual exhibition does not have a specific route. I tried to create illustrations with simple and clear messages, so viewers can understand them easily. "I hope Thais can experience this virtual exhibition and understand more about it.

Jab memo sows mistrustFollowing a public uproar, the Public Health Ministry yesterday decided to provide booster vaccines for frontline health personnel as soon as possible. Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Disease Control Department Director-General Opas Karnkawinpong gave conflicting answers about the leaked memo. That the booster shot will now be given to frontline medical staff does not mean the issue should be dismissed. Both the public health minister and disease control chief refrained from taking a stance regarding the merits of the opinion. Whatever the reason, the leaked memo has shaken public trust in the health authority's decision-making process.

But many people have no idea that Mystery Train was actually written by Junior Parker, an African-American blues singer and harmonica player, noted for his smooth, "honeyed" voice. The Elvis release shows that the song is credited to Junior Parker and producer Sam Philips. Little Junior Parker began his singing career in gospel churches and in his teenage years, he learned to play the blues harmonica from legend Sonny Boy Williamson II. You can hear this great Sun Records release, along with Feelin' Good and Love My Baby and 28 songs recorded for the Duke label, on the excellent compilation Little Junior Parker Rocks (Bear Family). To comprehend the current media landscape, three recurring trends must be addressed, as they could further complicate the quality of the Thai media. First of all, the proliferation of social media platforms has been a phenomenon in this country. This has led to a new trend with incomplete sets of information on issues being put out on popular social media media. Secondly, the mainstream media these days relies too much on information and audio-visual clips from social media. Unknowingly, the main stream media are rubber-stamping news and information from social media even though this often contains misinformation or fake news.

Govt building Sinovac castles in the sandWhat do we do when more and more medical personnel get infected with Covid-19 even though they had received two doses of Sinovac? From two million doses aimed as a stopgap in case there were glitches in the delivery of the main vaccine AstraZeneca, we could be buying more than 47 million doses of Sinovac now. What do we do when the numbers of new infections and casualties reach new highs again and again? We changed the background colour of the daily infographic updates, moved the new infections rate to the bottom and made the number small. It will make the rising numbers of sick and dead less glaring, more comfortable to the eyes.

Factory blaze a wake-up callAs of press time yesterday, a massive blaze which began early yesterday morning at a plastic factory in Samut Prakan finally showed some sign of easing up. Authorities will need to do more than provide short-term medical treatment for rescue workers and those injured by the fire. After the explosion was reported around 3.10am yesterday, about 30 firetrucks from the local administration, aided by brave volunteer rescue workers, rushed to the scene. Volunteers in T-shirts ran the firefighting operation, so many rescue workers suffered skin irritation and breathing difficulties. And has the ministry and local administration prepared adequate safety protocols for local communities to follow to ensure their safety in the case of accidents?

Photo by courtesy of Kantana Motion Pictures. Due to their fame, the term "Siamese twins" is used to describe conjoined twins. Photo by courtesy of Kantana Motion Pictures. Public resistance to the marriage between the Siamese twins and Caucasian sisters shows the fear of miscegenation. I think the series will make an impressive debut on the streaming platform but it could have done more to challenge the insularity of Thainess.

This means new capabilities now must be grown at scale in your existing people, not brought into the organisation. The pandemic has provided a very clear answer to why we need to think differently about development at scale. They also need to develop new capabilities for more people, more quickly and more cost-effectively than ever before. We discovered that if you look forward, and look at where you are, you can plan to develop capabilities in a better, faster, cheaper and wider-scale way. Henkel started by asking managers in different disciplines to identify skills needed in the immediate future.
