Some Golden Land staff worked there for eight years and had an attachment. The Pfizer vaccine is administered as a second shot to vulnerable groups who received the AstraZeneca vaccine in June, he said. Dr Sophon said the country is unlikely to procure additional Sinovac vaccine doses following the rollout of the AstraZeneca-Pfizer vaccination initiative. He said recipients of two Sinovac vaccine doses will receive the AstraZeneca jab as a booster shot.

Apple puts controversial child-protection fix on hold

The company had announced last month that its iPhones and iPads would soon start detecting images containing child sexual abuse and reporting them as they are uploaded to its online storage in the United States. Apple, in announcing the delay on Friday, cited the feedback from customers, advocacy groups, researchers and others. “We have decided to take additional time over the coming months to collect input and make improvements before releasing these critically important child safety features,” the company said in a statement. The system, if and when it goes into use, would be “powered by a cryptographic technology” to determine “if there is a match without revealing the result”, unless the image was found to contain depictions of child sexual abuse.

Police and rescuers from Ubon Rattana and Khao Suan Kwang districts started looking for him found only his motorbike parked in a paddy field near Ban Nong Saeng in Ubon Rattana that night. Somkuan Wiengkaew, a rescuer who took part in the search, said Mr Weller survived on rainwater and fruits picked in the forest.

Recently she was approached by a member of a drug gang who offered her 400,000 baht to pick up 4.6 million speed pills smuggled from Laos, said Pol Col Sippanan. Since the beginning of this year, more than 20 million speed pills have been seized in Nakhon Phanom, said Pol Col Sippanan.

Singapore cracks down on Binance
Binance may be in breach of the Payments Services Act for providing payment services to, and soliciting business from Singapore residents without an appropriate licence, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said. As Binance didn’t apply for a licence under local law, the central bank has added Binance.com to the investor alert list, which warns consumers that Binance isn’t regulated or licensed to provide any payment services locally. “Binance (global) would have to show that it has remediated any shortcomings and that it will not, going forward, solicit trades from Singapore resident customers.”Binance Holdings, which operates globally, has local affiliates in some countries including the US and UK — and in Singapore, with Binance Asia Services (BAS), which operates Binance.sg. Binance CEO Zhao Changpeng, a Canadian citizen, resides in Singapore and is the majority shareholder of Binance Asia Services. Vertex Venture Holdings Ltd, an affiliate of the state investor Temasek Holding, is also an investor in Binance Asia.
