The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau is seeking cooperation from the kingdom's international partners, including the United States, to investigate the hacking of a patient database at Phetchabun Hospital. The ministry later clarified that data was stolen from Phetchabun Hospital when its servers were breached. Meanwhile, the Bhumirajanakarindra Kidney Institute Hospital recently revealed that 40,000 of its patient records were stolen and its data system was damaged during a security breach, resulting in the hospital being unable to access its X-ray archive. The CCIB said its preliminary investigation showed that a group of Indian hackers was behind the security breach at Phetchabun Hospital, and it was using a server in Singapore. He said the initial findings suggest Phetchabun Hospital downloaded a free content management system (CMS) programme without setting a proper IP address, and that opened a way for hackers to enter.

CCSA changes likelyA Covid-19 situation update is seen on a screen during a press briefing by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration at Government House. The result will be a different yet permanent public health agency. Until then, however, the CCSA will continue its role in leading the country's efforts to contain Covid-19. According to Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, because the CCSA was established under the Emergency Decree, when the state of emergency is lifted, then the CCSA will technically no longer exist. "When the new law is in place, a body even larger than the CCSA may be established if needed, so it doesn't really matter if the CCSA is dissolved or not," he said.

Industrial sentiment falls againPeople undergo proactive Covid-19 testing at the EnCo Terminal. The TISI decline resulted mainly from the prolonged Covid-19 outbreak and the government's decision to impose strict lockdown measures, including a night-time curfew, in 29 provinces in August, according to the FTI. "Vaccines are a key factor in driving forward the economy and the government must speed up vaccinations among factory workers," said Mr Supant. Mr Supant said authorities should also help entrepreneurs buy rapid antigen test kits for use amongst factory workers every 14 days, in order to quickly remove infected workers for treatment and prevent further transmission. He added that a debt moratorium, covering both principal and interest, should be implemented and last between six months and a year to relieve the financial troubles of businesses affected by lockdown measures.
