The tweet further said that,"It's(India) mobile data consumption is higher than USA & China's mobile data consumption put together. "Kant however, did not quote any source for the information.In the recent past, India has witnessed a surge in mobile data consumption, mainly with the introduction of Reliance Jio , which further led to competition in data plans among telecom companies. "Earlier this week, a report released by investment firm Omidyar network provided an insight to Indians' nature of mobile data use. It further said that on an average, a user in India spends 200 minutes a day on mobile apps, lower than the US average of 300 minutes a day.
