KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi has come out with a new report with his predictions for the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. No in-screen fingerprint sensorThe ongoing discussion about whether the iPhone 8 will come with a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath the display or not rages on. It has been widely speculated that Apple is set to introduce a new technology with the iPhone 8 and embed the fingerprint sensor underneath the display. Ming-Chi Kuo also claims that the iPhone 8 will not support in-screen fingerprint scanning and the Touch ID sensor will not be embedded underneath the display. This corroborates well with KGI's reports that Apple is having trouble with the in-screen fingerprint sensor technology which is why they might be looking at other forms of unlocking the smartphone.
