NEW DELHI: A civilian was killed in ceasefire violation and shelling by Pakistan early on Saturday morning in Mendhar sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, news agency ANI reported. Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing from 0515 hours in Poonch sector. Indian Army retaliated strongly. Firing ceased at 0645 hours," Army sources told ANI.A 45-year-old woman lost her life in heavy shelling by Pakistani Rangers on civilian areas close to the LoC in Mendhar sector.Meanwhile, terrorists attacked 41 Rashtriya Rifles Army headquarters in Kalaroos of Kupwara district late on Friday night. One soldier was injured in the attack.
