More than Rs4.4 billion have so far been collected in the fundISLAMABAD: Prime minister’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfi Bukhari on Wednesday said that he intends to donate all his salaries to PM-CJP dam fund. “I will donate all salaries drawn while serving on this position to the PM-CJP Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund,” he said. The dam fund was started in July by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar after hearing a case related to Kalabagh dam. Likewise, last month the Supreme Court approved a change in the name of the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams fund to Supreme Court and Prime Minister’s Fund for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams. According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 2 in 3 Pakistanis, 67 per cent, who are aware of the dam fund, claim they will contribute in the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam and Mohmand Dam.
